Annual Summer Garden Party

Our annual summer garden party was a great success with about 20 members and visitors attending. The party was held by one of our members, Nicola Goodwill, in her lovely garden.  It was a lovely evening at a beautiful venue with fabulous food.  A good time was enjoyed by all.
We had the best supported competition which we have ever had.  Well done to everyone for joining in - results (for fun) were :
1st - Susan Sutton, 2nd - Gloria Pugh, Joint 3rd - Mary Clarke/ Mary Hill
Susan and Gloria won vouchers for Mulberry Silks and the two Marys won a selection of threads.
In addition to this we had a great raffle, together with Pat Wood's wonderful selection of threads, silks and fabrics from Mulberry Silks to browse and purchase.

"Found Objects in Embroidery" Workshop

The workshop aim was to show us some new techniques on how to incorporate all our found treasure into our embroidery.  We had some fun learning how to attach cabochons, shells, beads and other objects.

Our creations
It was a most enjoyable workshop and we learnt some useful techniques.  Some of the creations might be entries into the competition on Tuesday evening for our garden party.
Well done everyone.
