We have had a successful year and have learned a lot from the tutors and speakers who have come along to our workshops and evening talks.
Our next event is our annual Open Evening at Malmesbury Town Hall where we showcase our members' work and invite prospective new members and anyone with an interest in textiles to consider joining the Guild and being part of our friendly and welcoming group.
This year, we have invited Dr Lynn Hulse to speak on 'William Morris and the Rise of Art Embroidery'.
Dr Hulse is a former archivist at the Royal School of Needlework and editor of The Textile Society Journal. She is an expert in embroidery associated with William Morris and is one half of the Ornamental Embroidery which designs ornamental and historically inspired embroidery alongside running workshops and classes across the country.
The Open Evening will take place on Tuesday, 8th September, 7 - 9pm at Malmesbury Town Hall, Cross Hayes, SN16 9BZ.
The event is free. If you need any more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to seeing you.
